Klogr is an Italian-American alternative metal band known for merging heavy progressive influences with thought-provoking, conceptual themes. Formed in 2011, they debuted with the album Till You Decay, introducing their unique sound to the metal scene. In 2013, after a lineup change that brought in members from the band Timecut, Klogr released the EP Till You Turn, which featured collaborations with Lacuna Coil’s Maki and producer Logan Mader (Machine Head), solidifying their reputation for creative collaborations. Their second full-length album, Black Snow (2014), marked a shift in their lyrical direction, focusing on environmental issues, a cause close to the band’s heart. Their work with the Sea Shepherd organization and releases like “Zero Tolerance” emphasized their commitment to activism within their music. In 2017, Klogr took another leap forward with the release of Keystone, produced by Grammy-winning producer David Bottrill, which was well-received and showcased a more mature sound. They supported the album with extensive touring, sharing the stage with bands like Prong, The Rasmus, and Butcher Babies, and earning a reputation for their powerful live performances. In 2020, like many bands, Klogr’s activities were halted by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, they used this time productively, working on new material for their upcoming album. Now, with a new album set for release in winter 2024, Klogr is preparing for a major comeback. Frontman Rusty promises a record filled with energy, reflecting the band’s growth and resilience. With their renewed strength and ambition, Klogr is ready to reclaim their place in the alternative metal scene, bringing an evolved sound to their fans.
